    About Dr. Crystal

About Dr. Crystal, a guide in your journey.

    My mission

To guide women back to wholeness through soul-centered, integrative therapy — honoring the wisdom of the body, the depth of the psyche, and the light of the spirit, so healing becomes not just possible, but lived.

Hello, I'm Dr. Crystal, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist devoted to weaving together clinical depth with holistic, soul-centered healing. With over a decade of experience, I support individuals in Orange County who are ready to move beyond symptom management and gently uncover the root imbalances underlying their distress.

My work is collaborative, trauma-informed, and grounded in the understanding that true healing is a return to wholeness. It is not simply the absence of pain, but the restoration of your life force, clarity, and sense of purpose.

    The Holistic Healing Framework

True healing requires addressing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. My therapeutic framework is designed to move you from a state of survival into deep, sustainable flourishing.

    • Somatic Awareness

Tuning into the body's physical sensations to identify and release stored trauma and tension that talk therapy alone cannot reach.

    • Attachment Healing

Exploring early relational patterns to understand current relationship dynamics and foster secure, conscious connections.

    • Grounded Spirituality

Integrating depth psychology with spiritual wellness to help you find meaning, purpose, and a deeper sense of self.

    • Empowered Resilience

Building practical, sustainable coping tools that allow you to navigate life's challenges with confidence and clarity.

    Frequently asked

    Questions, gently answered.

A few of the questions I'm asked most often. If something else is on your heart, please reach out — I'm happy to talk it through.

Holistic therapy treats the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. We address the root causes of emotional distress using traditional clinical expertise combined with somatic and energy-balancing practices to restore your natural vitality.

Mind-body healing identifies where trauma and emotional blocks are stored physically. By understanding this connection, we use targeted somatic techniques to release tension and restore your nervous system's natural balance.

I'm in-network with UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, and Optum. That said, many clients choose to pay privately for the added flexibility it offers in session frequency, length, and treatment approach, without insurance requirements shaping care. If you'd prefer to pay privately or your plan isn't listed here, I'm happy to provide a superbill you can submit for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

Biofield tuning is a complementary service and is not covered by insurance. The rate is $155 per 50-55 minute session.

Your first session involves a compassionate, comprehensive evaluation of your emotional and physical well-being. We discuss your history, identify core issues, and begin outlining a personalized, trauma-informed healing path.

You may be ready for a change when sessions begin to feel repetitive rather than expansive — when you leave feeling like you understand your patterns intellectually but aren't experiencing real shifts in how you feel or move through the world. Other signs include a sense that something deeper wants to be addressed that talk alone hasn't reached, a feeling of being heard but not truly seen, or a quiet inner knowing that your healing needs a different kind of container. Readiness for change often arrives as a gentle restlessness rather than a dramatic moment. If you're asking the question, it's usually worth exploring.

Feeling stuck is more common than most people realize — and it's not a sign that healing isn't possible, only that the current approach may need to shift. Stuck often means the work has reached a layer that talk therapy alone can't fully reach. This is where body-based and integrative modalities like somatic therapy, EMDR, or IFS can open new pathways. If you're feeling stuck, the most important thing is to name it — either to your current therapist or by exploring whether a different approach might better serve where you are right now. Stuckness is often the threshold right before a breakthrough.

The right type of therapy meets you where you are — in your body, your history, and your current season of life. If you tend to understand yourself well cognitively but still feel anxious, tense, or emotionally flat, a body-centered approach like somatic therapy or EMDR may be more effective than traditional talk therapy. If you feel pulled in conflicting directions by different inner voices or patterns, IFS may resonate deeply. If you're drawn to healing that honors the spiritual dimension of who you are, an integrative approach that weaves depth psychology with holistic practices may feel most like home. A free consultation is the best way to explore which path fits — there's no one-size-fits-all answer, and the right fit often becomes clear in the first conversation.

Somatic therapy is a body-centered approach to healing that recognizes the body as a partner in the therapeutic process — not just a vessel for the mind. Stress, trauma, and unresolved emotion don't only live in our thoughts and memories. They live in the body as tension, pain, shallow breathing, hypervigilance, or chronic fatigue. Somatic therapy works directly with these physical expressions of emotional experience, using gentle techniques to help the nervous system discharge stored patterns and return to a state of safety and balance. Unlike traditional talk therapy, somatic work doesn't require you to verbally analyze every experience — sometimes the most profound healing happens beneath the level of words.

Every session is shaped by what you bring into the room — there is no rigid script or one-size-fits-all structure. Generally, we begin by checking in with how you're feeling in your body, integrating new levels of awareness, and what's present for you that day. From there, we follow the thread of what arises — whether that's clearing negative core beliefs, processing a recent experience, exploring a deeper pattern, or doing body-based work to release stored tension. Sessions are 50-53 minutes and held in a space that honors your nervous system's capacity. You are always in the lead. Some sessions feel like gentle excavation; others feel like integration and rest. Over time, most clients notice a growing sense of clarity, ease, and connection to themselves that carries into their daily life.
